Affiliate Disclosure

Effective date: 9 October 2026

Crisp Phase is free to read and carries no advertising. It is funded by one paid affiliate link. This page explains exactly how that works, because a reader deciding whether to trust an answer is entitled to know who is paid when the answer points somewhere.

The arrangement

ORYNA s.r.o., the publisher of this site, takes part in an affiliate programme for Norton AntiVirus Plus. When a reader follows the link on this site to the Norton AntiVirus Plus website and goes on to buy a subscription, the affiliate network that operates the link pays ORYNA s.r.o. a commission on that sale. The commission is paid per sale by the network, not by you.

The link appears on the homepage and on several of the topic pages, and every instance of it carries a note beside it saying that it is paid. There is no other affiliate programme on this site, no sponsored content, no display advertising and no paid placement of any kind.

What it costs you

Nothing. The price you pay for a subscription is the price the vendor charges, and following the link from here does not raise it. Affiliate commission is paid out of the vendor's own marketing budget, which is the point of the model: the vendor would otherwise spend the same money on advertising. There is no surcharge, no mark-up and no code that must be used.

Prices, subscription terms and the contents of the subscription are matters for the vendor and can change. Crisp Phase does not quote prices, and the only reliable figure is the one shown at the vendor's checkout in Australian dollars.

What the commission does not decide

It does not decide which questions appear on this site. Those are chosen because people ask them, from the phrasings people use when they look for help, and several of them have nothing to do with any purchasable product at all.

It does not decide what the answers say. On every page where both exist, the steps that cost nothing are set out before anything that costs money, and several answers conclude that buying something would be the wrong move — that a full disk needs clearing, that an account needs recovering, that a phone needs no security software, that a lapsed subscription should be removed rather than renewed. Those conclusions reduce the chance of a sale, and they are written that way because they are correct.

It does not produce claims about the product that the vendor has not made. This site runs no tests and publishes no scores, rankings, detection rates or comparisons. Where Norton AntiVirus Plus is described, the description is limited to what it is — a paid security subscription for Windows and macOS computers — and readers are pointed to the vendor's own pages for the detail.

What does decide the content

Three things, in this order. Whether the question is one that readers in Australia actually ask. Whether there is an answer that will leave them better off than when they arrived. And whether that answer can be checked against something published by an organisation with standing on the subject — most often the Australian Cyber Security Centre, Scamwatch, the eSafety Commissioner, the OAIC, the ACCC or the vendor's own documentation.

A question that fails the first test is left out. An answer that fails the third is rewritten as general guidance or removed. The full method, including how often pages are revisited, is on the About page, which is worth reading alongside this one.

Australian Consumer Law

Misleading or deceptive conduct in trade or commerce is prohibited under the Australian Consumer Law, and that prohibition applies to this site as it does to any other business communicating with consumers in Australia. The disclosure above exists to meet that standard in substance rather than in small print: it names the product, names the publisher, says who pays and says what the money does and does not change. The ACCC publishes guidance on advertising and selling, including the rules on disclosure of commercial relationships.

If anything on this site reads to you as misleading, write to info@crispphase.online and say which sentence. That is a correction worth making.

Trademarks

Trademarks: Norton AntiVirus Plus and the other product names, logos and brands on this site are owned by their respective owners. Other than the paid affiliate links explained in our disclosure, Crisp Phase is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.

To state the same thing in plainer words: ORYNA s.r.o. is not the vendor of Norton AntiVirus Plus, is not its reseller, is not an authorised partner, and does not provide support for it. Questions about a subscription, a charge, a licence or a refund go to the vendor, not here.
